## Description

The MikroTik FTC21-ups is a smart, IP67 weatherproof Fiber-to-Copper media converter featuring integrated battery power resilience. Designed to eliminate power dropouts and unwanted network reboots, it includes a 2.5G SFP port, two Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE output, and full SwOS Lite management capabilities.

The MikroTik FTC21-ups is designed to solve power instability issues at the network edge. Unstable power, brownouts, and voltage drops often cause link renegotiations and device reboots. To address this, the unit contains a pair of internal Li-Ion NCA 18650 batteries (3.6V 2500mAh) that keep the link operational during brief power dropouts, preventing unnecessary connection drops.
Running a full version of SwOS Lite, the FTC21-ups offers advanced management features beyond a standard media converter. It provides interface monitoring, VLAN support, SNMP reporting, basic traffic shaping, and Access Control Lists (ACLs) for protocol header filtering and accounting across Layer 2, 3, and 4.
Housed in an IP67 weatherproof enclosure, this converter supports operating temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. Powering options include 802.3af/at PoE-in and a DC jack (24–57 V). Additionally, Ether2 provides Passive PoE-out with a hardware switch to select 24 V or 48 V output, making it suitable for attached devices such as CCTV cameras.
