## Description

The Shelly Flood Gen4 is a flood and moisture detector, designed to provide full-room water detection across an entire area. The Flood Gen4 features a moisture-detecting cable attached to a battery pack in an IPX4 water-resistant casing, and can be installed along walls, underneath equipment and in hard-to-reach spots to cover an entire area with reliable moisture detection.

Unlike traditional leak detectors such as the previous Shelly Flood which can only detect leaks in a single zone, the Shelly Flood Gen4 includes a moisture-detecting flexible cable that can be stretched to cover a wide area, or be installed in cramped areas like behind furniture, inside cabinets or along the length of a wall. To extend the detection range, cables can be easily connected together with a simple 3.5mm jack up to a length of 150m, making it easy to cover entire rooms, corridors, data cabinets and more. Once moisture is detected, a buzzer sounds and a notification is sent immediately to the connected Shelly app notifying users of a leak. The connected battery pack houses 4 x AA batteries, and is encased in an IPX4 casing.

The Flood Gen4 features three different moisture-detecting profiles for adaptability and ease-of-use: a profile for everyday peace of mind, a more sensitive setting for protecting high-priority and especially moisture-sensitive assets, and a battery-saving setting which disables the buzzer - ideal for holiday homes and other rarely-used spaces.

As a part of the new Gen4 family, the Shelly Flood Gen4 is compatible out of the box with WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter and can maintain these connections simultaneously to quickly and seamlessly integrate with both a wider Shelly ecosystem and pre-existing ZIgbee and Matter installations.
