UniFi vs AmpliFi - What's the difference?

UniFi vs AmpliFi - What's the difference?

Ubiquiti’s impressive range of premium network products offer both the AmpliFi and UniFi range, so let's break down the popular question; what’s the difference and which will work best for me?

In short, AmpliFi products such the AFI-P-HD-UK are aimed more towards the home user, and Unifi products such as the UDM are better suited to small/medium businesses. However, there’s flexibility here, as some home users (Who may have a technical background) prefer using UniFi products.

UniFi is better for business due to the increased control they offer in terms of network configuration, and is managed using the UniFi Network app, or network management interface.

UniFi

AmpliFi products are designed to be managed entirely using a smartphone app; AmpliFi WiFi, which gives you an idea of how simplified the AmpliFi range is designed to be for home users.

AmpliFi
