Which XPOL-1 do I need?
The XPOL-1 Models provide fantastic choices for increasing speeds of data and connection for most application areas including rural, urban, agricultural and commercial sites, but the two models have slight differences that may impact your decision on which version is best suited for your unique requirements. To help you make the choice that will best suit your needs, let's first break down the differences between 2x2 and 4x4 MIMO.
What is MIMO?
MIMO stands for Multi In, Multi out, and refers to the practice of housing two or more antennas within one wireless device. Both the XPOL-1-5G 2x2 and XPOL-1-5G 4x4 versions use MIMO. The numbers at the end of each model stand for how many antennas each XPOL-1 contains.
Generally speaking, the more antennas, the faster the speeds for data transfer, and the more devices the antenna can handle simultaneously.
So, which do I need?
Due to both XPOL-1-5G models being capable of handling a variety of environments, the question to ask when deciding between these antennas is whether you require a device that is able to handle multiple, more demanding devices simultaneously (such as the 4x4 version), or whether you require a device that will not necessarily be dealing with more demanding conditions and can serve its purpose with less simultaneous connections, (such as the 2x2).
