TP-Link's ER7406 Gigabit VPN Gateway offers dependable wired connectivity for up to five devices, with traffic load-balanced across up to four WANs for robust, responsive networking and optimised traffic management. The ER7406 features 1 x Gigabit SFP WAN/LAN port and 5 x RJ45 ports (1 x WAN, 4 x WAN/LAN) delivering reliable connections both for standard Ethernet jacks and fibre modules, as well as a USB 3.0 port to support additional USB storage or an LTE module for cellular connections and LTE failover.

In addition to its hardware, the ER7406 also incorporates a sophisticated suite of software features and protocols like high-security SSL/ IPSec / GRE§ / WireGuard / PPTP / L2TP VPN & OpenVPN support, Dos and DDoS protection, advanced Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) for blocking or prioritising specific applications, and an intelligently implemented threat detection and defence system through the integrated IDS/IPS engine. The ER7406 also includes captive guest portal functionality, expanding its functionality to hotels, restaurants and retail outlets.

Like the rest of the Omada family, the ER7406 is also fully compatible with TP-Link's proprietary Software Defined Networking (SDN) system, granting complete oversight and remote management across the entire TP-Link ecosystem from a single interface.
