The Draytek Vigor 2865 is a Dual-WAN VPN Firewall router perfect for SMEs, satellite offices and the home offices of remote workers requiring advanced features. With gigabit throughput, Quality of Service, SSL VPN and comprehensive Firewall and Content Filtering controls, this router brings such advanced features to the table. Its integrated modem supports both VDSL2 and ADSL2+ variants, as well as profile 35b supervectoring. This router is capable of 800Mbps NAT throughput, reaching up to 900Mbps or higher with hardware acceleration enabled.
SSL VPN
The Vigor 2865’s SSL VPN works through firewalls to quickly and securely provide remote access for your clients’ remote workers via site-to-site virtual networking with up to 32 VPN tunnels. Since the VPN makes use of the common SSL/TLS protocol, the SSL VPN will be compatible with most browsers. What’s more, the V2865-K is equipped with a processor for AES, DES and 3DES encryption, resulting in excellent VPN throughput without sacrificing security or encryption quality.
Dual-WAN Auto-Load Balancing and Failover
The Vigor 2865 unit’s gigabit Ethernet WAN portals support for Draytek’s easy, high-efficiency load-balancing system. Once a WAN link is online, it will be added to the load balancing pool. There’s no need for you or the client to do anything as there’s no configuration required. The process occurs seamlessly and automatically.
From there, your router will automatically track and regulate the bandwidth usage on each WAN. What’s more, the router will automatically failover between WAN connections, boosting the resilience of your installed networks and saving your clients the costs incurred through network downtime. A 3G/4G/LTE USB modem can also be attached to the USB ports of the router as a further failover measure.
Remote Management
The Vigor 2865 can be managed and configured remotely via the VigorACS central management platform, highly useful and cost-effective for managing multi-site deployments making use of Draytek devices across multiple networks.
Please note that, unlike the V2865ac and V2865Vac models, the V2865-K has no dipole, so cannot function as a wireless access point.
