The HPE Networking Instant On AP21 (S1T09A) is an indoor, dual-band Access Point that can offer enterprise-grade WiFi 6 (802.11ax) for low-to-medium density deployments, with a maximum throughput of 1.5 Gbps over its two dual-band antennas. The AP21 has a range of up to 1500 square feet and secure guest WiFi technology, making it a well-suited access point to commercial deployments like retail settings, or for SMBs with fewer clients who still require high-speed WiFi 6 technology for latency-sensitive applications.
Description
The HPE Networking Instant On AP21 access point is capable of driving WiFi 6 (802.11ax) to up to 50 simultaneous devices on the 5Ghz band, including enhancements like Target Wake Time and OFDMA to facilitate more clients reporting into the same access point without degrading performance.
Designed as a robust workhorse for low-to-medium traffic density applications, the AP21 also features a compact chassis and security features such as a separate gateway for guest traffic and WPA2/WPA3/OWE authentication included as standard.
The HPE Networking Instant On AP21 is also backwards compatible, supporting WiFi 5 and other older protocols so there's no need to replace devices, as well as being Smart Mesh compatible, intelligently eliminating any WiFi dead spots throughout any space to deliver consistent connectivity.
