The MC112CS is a high-performance WDM media converter designed to seamlessly bridge 100BASE-FX single-mode fiber and 10/100Base-TX copper media. Utilizing advanced wave division multiplexing technology, it transmits and receives data over a single fiber core, cutting cabling costs in half while extending network reach up to 20km.

Description

The MC112CS is a robust media converter designed to convert 100BASE-FX fiber to 10/100Base-TX copper media, or vice versa. By adopting Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology, this device transmits and receives data on a single fiber core, which effectively halves your fiber cabling costs. It features a 1310nm TX laser transmitter and a 1550nm RX receiver, allowing it to cooperate perfectly with complementary WDM converters such as the MC111CS.

Designed to comply with IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC112CS supports long-wave (LX) laser specifications at a full wire-speed forwarding rate. It can be deployed as a standalone device without a chassis, or mounted within a TP-Link MC1400 14-slot rack-mount chassis for larger scale installations. The copper port features auto-negotiation for half-duplex or full-duplex transfer modes and supports auto MDI/MDI-X, ensuring hassle-free integration into existing network infrastructures.
