It serves as the perfect drop-in upgrade for existing CCR1072 setups.

Description

The MikroTik CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ is a high-performance 1U rackmount router designed to power demanding 100 Gigabit enterprise and service provider networks. Equipped with a 16-core AL73400 ARM 64-bit processor running at 2 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, this flagship device delivers exceptional processing power to handle heavy routing tasks with ease.

At the heart of its switching capabilities is the Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch-chip, which utilises four 25 Gbps connection lines to the CPU to enable high-speed L3 Hardware Offloading. Connectivity is highly versatile, featuring two 100G QSFP28 cages for ultra-fast backbone links, twelve 25G SFP28 cages for high-speed local networking, and a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet port.

Designed with reliability and serviceability in mind, the router includes four hot-swappable cooling fans and dual-redundant hot-swap power supplies. It offers a seamless, cost-effective upgrade path for existing CCR1072 users, as it is fully compatible with legacy CCR1072 hot-swap power supplies and SFP modules. Storage can also be expanded via two integrated M.2 SATA slots alongside the built-in 128 MB NAND flash.
