The Mikrotik GPeR is a Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeater, able to extend an Ethernet cable signal by an additional 100-150 metres (depending on cable quality) to regular network devices, and up to 210 metres to another Mikrotik GPeR unit.

Description

The GPeR contains a small switch chip able to forward on data through the 2 x Gigabit RJ45 ports on either side, thereby extending the range of the signal further than an Ethernet cable would typically allow. Up to seven Mikrotik GPeR Gigabit Passive Ethernet Repeaters can be chained together, meaning a maximum range of 1,500 metres. The Mikrotik GPeR unit is especially suited to tall buildings and multi-apartment blocks or offices with many levels, as it eliminates the need for a network of very long ethernet cables.

Depending on the quality of the cables, the GPeR Ethernet Repeater can transmit signal up to 150 metres away from your router or power source, and the signal can be transmitted up to 210 metres between two GPeR devices. The jumpers can also be manually removed if the destination device can't support PoE-in powering.

Key Highlights

  • 2 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports
  • 24-57V Throughput
  • User-friendly deployment
  • Removable jumpers
  • Powered by 802.3af/at or passive (24-57V) PoE-in
