The Shelly Wave Door/Window is a compact smart device designed to detect the opening and closing of doors and windows. The Wave Door/Window also includes built-in sensors for both window and door tilt and light level for enhanced functionality and detection, and operates over the Z-Wave protocol for seamless integration with other Z-Wave devices on the network.
Description
Shelly's Wave Door/Window sensor can automatically detect the opening and closing of any door or window, as well as the angle of inclination and light levels through sensors embedded in the compact chassis. Similar to the Bluetooth version, the Shelly BLU Door/Window, this sensor can co-ordinate with other Shelly devices on the network, such as turning off the lights when a door closes or deactivate central heating when a window opens; alternatively, as an important component of a home or office security system, the Wave Door/Window can notify you instantly via the free Shelly app if any change is detected.
Crucially, this version is also compatible with the Z-Wave protocol, meaning that in addition to seamlessly integrating with other Shelly devices, it can also wirelessly communicate with any other Z-Wave compatible smart device.
Shelly's Z-Wave Door/Window Sensor supports an extremely low battery-usage profile with up to two years on a single charge, and can be included as Security 2 Authenticated to encrypt communication throughout the Z-Wave network. The sensor is also extremely compact and discreet, and designed to be placed on the inside o the window or door frame to remain invisible and unobtrusive.
