Description
The Shelly Pro Modbus Add-on RS485 attaches directly to the expansion port of compatible Shelly Pro devices, including the Pro EM-50, Pro 3EM, Pro 1, and Pro 2. It converts these relays and energy meters into industrial-grade automation components by providing standard RS485 serial communication over long distances with high noise resistance.
Featuring dual-mode capability, the add-on operates as both a Modbus client—reading telemetry from external controllers and meters via JS interface scripts—and a Modbus server to export local measurements to broader building management systems (BMS), energy management systems (EMS), and SCADA platforms. It supports multi-device networks of up to 32 nodes in half-duplex mode at transmission speeds up to 10 Mbps.
Designed for clean DIN rail installation, the module includes monocolour LED status indicators for power supply connection alongside active data transmission (TX) and reception (RX).
