This is a 2 pack of the Shelly EM Mini Gen4 which is a compact smart energy meter, designed to be installed inside ordinary pre-existing electrical devices to accurately monitor their energy usage. Part of Shelly's Mini range, these devices are small enough to be installed inside cramped junction boxes or pre-existing light fittings and record the power consumption of any device to which they're connected. In addition to all the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity of the previous generation, the Gen3, the Shelly Mini EM Gen4 is also compatible with Zigbee and Matter out of the box to easily integrate into an existing installation.
Description
The Shelly Mini EM Gen4 is Shelly's smallest energy monitoring device to date and the first EM to be released in the Mini series. Its compact size and easy wiring makes it an ideal choice to be retrofitted into pre-existing devices, behind light switches or embedded in lighting and heating systems, and records the energy usage of any device or system in which it's installed every 60 seconds to within 1% accuracy. Both straightforward and customisable, Shelly's Mini EM Gen4 offers a unique birds-eye view over the energy consumption of your home or office in minutes.
Like other devices in Shelly's Gen4 range, the Mini EM Gen4 features out-of-the-box connectivity over WiFi and Bluetooth, requiring no expensive hubs or complicated protocols to seamlessly connect to the free Shelly app or other devices in the Shelly ecosystem; however, new for the Gen4 series is also integrated and out-of-the-box support for both the Zigbee and Matter protocols, meaning any Shelly Gen4 device can also be instantly adopted into a pre-existing Zigbee or Matter network. The Gen4 devices can also maintain these connections simultaneously, able at once to maintain a connection a wider Zigbee network and a Shelly ecosystem over WiFi. Each Shelly Gen4 device such as the Mini EM Gen4 also includes an upgraded chipset and increased RAM capacity, offering smoother and quicker operation and more advanced scripting capabilities for a greater breadth of customisation.
