Poynting SWIRL-8 X-Polarised Omni-Directional 8x8 MIMO 5G Antenna

Engineered for high-stress marine and mobility deployments for which uninterrupted connectivity is a high priority, Poynting's SWIRL-8 is a robust, flexible and high-specification antenna array. Featuring eight radios for an 8x8 MIMO design, the SWIRL-8 is capable of covering 5G/LTE frequency ranges of 617-6000MHz, with a gain of 6 dBi to strike a balance between range and aperture size. In addition to its cellular connectivity capacity, the SWIRL-8 is also capable of receiving any WiFi standard from WiFi 3 to WiFi 7 (bands 2.4 and 5 - 7.2GHz), at once eliminating the requirement of replacing older devices, while also future-proofing your WiFi connectivity. Another dual-band GNSS antenna for L1 and L5 constellations is included in the compact chassis, providing accurate GPS data.

These radios are encased in an extremely durable IP69K rated frame, offering the highest possible protection against dust and high-pressure water jets and are able to withstand consistent exposure to corrosive sea air. Despite the fact that the SWIRL-8 is optimised for marine installations, its high gain, robust casing and wideband capabilities make it an ideal choice for any motility installation like coaches or goods transportation.

Also included with the SWIRL-8 is a cast aluminium base built specifically for mounting 5G routers, reducing coaxial cable runs and improving performance by reducing signal loss. Mounted to the base, the SWIRL-8 can be used as a powerful Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) device, supporting a wide range of connectivity needs.
