The Shelly Plus Dimmer PM Gen3 is a smart dimming switch designed to manage 0-10V DC dimming drivers for extra precise dimming capabilities. This Gen3 variant represents an advance on the previous iteration, the Shelly Dimmer, offering both accurate power monitoring and updated hardware for increased durability and more efficient operation.
Description
Similar to its predecessor, the Shelly Dimmer, the Shelly Dimmer PM Gen3 is notably compact and can be easily retrofitted inside most pre-existing electrical appliances, or behind the most tightly-packed electrical boxes, to offer a full range of dimming functionality for 0-10V DC dimming drivers. The device supports signal control for multiple types of drivers such as lights, motors, valves, and a one-button dimming mode for physical switches.
This Gen3 model includes an updated chipset, providing both increased operational efficiency and faster response times, as well as capacity for power metering, offering accurate metrics on the power consumption of any device in which it's installed. This Gen3 model is also compatible with Virtual Components, and can be upgraded to Matter for future-proofing your smart home's capabilities.
Please Note: In order to access this device's full dimming functionality, a custom script needs to be added. NetXL provides a pre-made script for this purpose, which you can find here. For more information on how to add scripts to Shelly devices, take a look at our custom script FAQ!
