With its featured Gigabit ports the TL-SG1008P is a great solution to enhance your network capacity, enabling instant large files sharing. In turn providing users the ability in the home, office, workgroup, or creative production environment to move large, bandwidth-intensive files faster. The TP-Link TL-SG1008P transfers graphics, CGI, CAD, or multimedia files across the network instantly.

All ports for the TP-Link TL-SG1008P support Auto-MDI/MDIX therefore there is no need to worry about the type of cable to use. It has the priority function which will help protect the system when the system power is overloaded.

When a computer or network equipment is off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch will continue to consume considerable amounts of power. With its energy efficient technology the TL-SG1008P can automatically detect the link status of each port and reduce the power consumption of ports that are idle, resulting in up to reduction in power use. The TL-SG1008P uses the same amount of power regardless of cable length.

The TL-SG1008P is hassle free, due to its plug and play features - no configuring is required. Each port adjusts for compatibility depending on the link speed of a network device for optimal performance.
