The VAP960C is a WiFi 6 AX1800 access point with mesh, PoE and it offers up to 1.8Gbps dual-band wireless rates. WiFi 6 brings significantly improved efficiency, better overall performance and reliably handles more clients per access point within an office or home network.
Description
The DrayTek VAP960C-K access point with Wi-Fi 6 is less susceptible to interference from neighbouring wireless networks, giving a significant boost to real world performance for both 2.4 and 4GHz Wi-Fi 6 clients.
A key feature of Wi-Fi 6 is OFDMA, short for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access. 4G networks and now Wi-Fi 6 use this to provide data to many users at once. The Vigor VAP960C gives improved efficiency, faster overall performance and less lag when compared with WiFi 5 (11ac) wireless networks.
DrayTek's mesh system intelligently manages and links VigorAPs wirelessly, with guest network and VLAN support. The Self-Optimising Mesh ensures your wireless network nodes are always using the fastest path to the Mesh Root.
The VAP960C access point can be powered through its Gigabit Ethernet interface with standard IEEE 802.3af PoE for a tidier and more convenient installation. Alternatively, power the VigorAP with an AC adapter.
With a new matte finish, the VigorAP 960C blends well with home and office interiors. This Draytek access point is suitable for both ceiling and wall mounting. The access point clips securely into its ceiling plate for sturdy mounting and easier maintenance.
Through the web interface of the VigorAP 960C, network administrators can easily check on AP data usage and clients connected, with options to disconnect or block disruptive clients. Mobile Device Management (MDM) builds on regular Access Control, which can be used to whitelist and blacklist individual clients.
MDM makes it possible to set up SSIDs that only Windows or Apple desktops can connect to, disconnecting Android or iOS clients or vice versa, to suit the requirements of your wireless network. Analytics data from each VigorAP graphs how many wireless clients have connected to the AP over time, as well as how many wireless clients passed by without connecting.
